Privacy notice
How SiteRequest handles personal and business information. Last updated 13 September 2026.
Who is responsible
The SiteRequest operator is responsible for personal information processed through this service. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to hello@siterequest.co.uk or through the privacy contact form.
Information collected
SiteRequest collects information supplied in organisation profile requests, project briefs, quotation responses, correction reports and contact forms. This can include names, work and optional notification email addresses, company and office information, project details, fee and programme information, uploaded files, communication preferences, and timestamps showing when invitations and responses were recorded. Restricted owner sign-in also creates security and access records.
Public organisation listings
Initial listings may contain limited business information from public sources, including an organisation’s name, general office location, broad services, business contact details and website. Claimed profiles contain information provided by an organisation representative. SiteRequest does not publish project briefs, quotation responses or named employee details from profile requests unless the person submitting them asks for particular business contact information to be public.
Why information is used
Information is used to operate the directory; confirm work email control; review profile claims and corrections; send selected organisations an enquiry; return and track responses; provide private status pages; prevent misuse; respond to questions; maintain records; and improve the service. Factual SiteRequest activity can be calculated from genuine platform events, but low-volume activity is not displayed publicly at launch.
Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, SiteRequest expects to rely on steps taken at a user’s request, performance of the requested service, legitimate interests in operating and securing a business-to-business sourcing platform, and compliance with legal obligations. Where legitimate interests are used, SiteRequest considers the impact on the people concerned. Consent will be requested where the law requires it, including for optional cookies if introduced.
Sharing and publication
A verified project request and its attachments are shared only with the organisations selected by the developer, or with organisations the developer has expressly asked SiteRequest to identify. Each selected organisation receives a separate private link. Returned quotation information is available to the developer through a private link. SiteRequest also uses hosting, storage, authentication and transactional-email providers acting as service providers. Information may be disclosed where required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Enquiry Status and activity
Enquiry Status is shown as confirmed only after an authorised organisation contact confirms it; otherwise it appears as not confirmed. It expires after 30 days without reconfirmation. Activity records are generated only from genuine SiteRequest invitations and responses. They are not star ratings and are not intended to measure professional quality, competence or suitability.
Communications and outreach
SiteRequest sends operational emails needed for verification, profile administration, enquiries, quotations and status updates. Any future business outreach will identify SiteRequest, use relevant business contact details, provide a simple way to object or opt out, and respect a permanent suppression list. SiteRequest does not currently run automated mass outreach from this website.
Analytics and cookies
SiteRequest does not currently use public-page analytics or advertising cookies. Strictly necessary hosting, security and restricted-area sign-in technologies may be used. See the cookie notice. If optional analytics is introduced, this notice and any required consent control will be updated before it is enabled.
Retention and security
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to operate the relevant request, maintain appropriate business and security records, handle disputes and meet legal obligations. Verification links expire after 24 hours and private project links normally expire after 30 days. Cancelling a request revokes future access but cannot recall information already viewed or downloaded. Access to the owner review area is restricted. Do not submit information that is unnecessary for the request.
Rights and corrections
You can report potentially incorrect organisation information without claiming a profile. Individuals may also have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, depending on the circumstances. Use the contact form and select the relevant request type. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
